Sorry for the late post. Digby was flat out demanding that I hand feed him bacon without taking so much as a break and he is so cute I just couldn't say no.
First up this week is Rohan, a little mystery mutt. Rohan comes with a story and it was so touching I just had to post the whole thing.
Hello! May I please introduce to you Didier Gaston Canelé de Rohan, le Petit. We just call him Rohan for short.
Rohan is three years old, and has spent one year with us. He came to us from a rescue organization in upstate New York, who in turn obtained him from a kill-shelter in South Carolina. No one knows his story, but we do know he was picked up from a highway in the middle of nowhere.
Rohan was very timid when he first met us. He was also underweight, fighting parasites, and unfamiliar with playtime and basic commands. He is still scared of most other dogs and people, but he adores his humans, has a couple really good dog friends, and has a blast playing Stuffed Animal Fetch. He now knows his basic commands, and will happily do a few tricks: shake, sit pretty, meerkat, roll over, and some others.
Rohan is super athletic. He is eight pounds of pure muscle. He has nearly jumped into the kitchen sink (hello trouble), routinely jumps from the floor to the back of the couch to a nearby armchair in one uninterrupted series of bounds, and he can walk across the living room on his back legs. We are not sure if he would enjoy running along the beach as Digby does, because we have not yet taken him swimming. But when he is held above a bathtub full of water, his legs sure windmill like he is ready to paddle up a storm!!
Rohan's favorite toys are a stuffed turkey that gobbles when you squeeze it, and a squeaky penguin that flops like a carcass when he grabs it and shakes his neck.

Emma and Spencer have that innocent puppy-face down pat - twice as hard to resist since there's two of them!

This is Hank the Bulldog, sent in by Emma. He does have the sweetest little face for such a goofy looking breed (and I mean that in the nicest way possible!)
This Shiba Inu is named Leela. There's not a single thing about this pup that I don't find absolutely precious. The ears, the nose, those paws...
Roberta has sent in this Bulldog named Lloyd who seems to have a little situation going on with his front leg. Take it from me - having a puppy who you're supposed to "keep calm and quiet" on vets orders is damn near impossible so you're best to just close your eyes and pretend you don't know what they're up to.
Macadoodle has been featured before because he's just that cute. Here he is claiming the bed - typical of a Griffon. They will run the house if you let them (and Digby has been relatively successful in that regard. Right now he's sleeping on our clean laundry).
This Jack Russell named Ralph belongs to @haztastic. He's almost mastered the art of noodlebraining - not far to go now, little dude!
Anyone who has seen a yorkshire terrier puppy will agree that they are the epitome of "cute". Anyone who hasn't seen a yorkshire terrier puppy is about to have their mind blown. This is Rufus, owned by @rhirhi89.
This is another innocent Griffon expression - Sunday (@madamedemuse) is showing the world just how cutey her booty is - and the rest of her is divine, too!
Lastly, we have Tilly - a perfect little pug puppy. They really are the most endearing little puppies around and honestly, I wish Digby could have one.
